I’m almost afraid to write this post, as I judge that it may be “socially and/or politically incorrect” for me to even post these ideas, but having watched, I think perspective may well be worth hearing.
His specialty is hormone therapy, so he both knows a lot about this area and he is also “invested” in the idea that this sort of therapy is beneficial. From what I’ve seen, I think he’s on to something here. I think that the falling hormone levels associated with aging are both an effect and a cause (by signaling) of further declines in health, and thus explain the improvements that he sees in his patients with hormone therapy. My preference would be to find and correct the underlying cause of these hormone “deficiencies“, say by a more fundamental correction like telomere restoration.
But I think that much can be learned from Dr. Hertoghe’s experiences with treating at the hormone level – he’s got huge clinical experience treating thousands of women (and men, including himself).
