Fantastic news: the dreaded Alzheimer’s disease has been “cracked”.   A genius research project working on a low budget has succeeded in figuring out enough about this disease to be able to prevent and even reverse the cognitive decline.

This is good news! The answers are out there, for those who seek them.  This book contains those answers.  Hundreds of people have already successfully applied these new understandings to turn the disease around for themselves and their loved ones.  For those in the know, Alzheimer’s is a manageable problem.

The bad news is that very few people are “in the know”.  While there were simple solutions to the other diseases that have been defeated in the last couple hundred years, Alzheimer’s disease is not simple, and thus the solution has not been easy to promote.  There’s no single pill to take, no single lifestyle change to make.

Instead, we find that what we’ve been calling Alzheimer’s (the progressive replacement of healthy brain tissue with beta-amyloid plaques and tangles) comes about when our brain’s protective mechanisms respond to ins ults they receive from our environment.  Bredesen has identified at thirty six different ways Alzheimer’s is being induced.   Each Alzheimer’s sufferer has a different combination of different sized “holes” contributing to their disease.  The most common big “hole” is caused by insulin resistance / high sugar / high carb diet.  For some people, merely fixing this is enough.

More good news is that when someone fixes enough of these “holes” in their metabolism, the balance between brain destruction and brain construction tips back in favor of brain construction, and cognitive decline reverses.  People have experienced huge gains!   As much as having their hippocampal volume improving from below the 10th percentile to above the 80th percentile, by MRI.

Looks to me like the big
